Roads to Biliteracy Infographic

Strong dual language programs are, by design and definition, a great way to develop biliteracy, so as we become more and more convinced of the value of biliteracy it is natural to feel urgency to build more dual language programs. And we should! But we must remember a few things: Building solid dual language programs takes time! And, we can still promote and nurture biliteracy while we are in the process of building dual language programs. AND, even if creating a dual language program in the foreseeable future seems unlikely, there are many things we can do to give our children pathways to biliteracy. Schools and communities: Blaze a trail! Begin setting some cobblestones in place...until all roads lead to biliteracy!
